If you are UTeM student and asking yourself why do u procrastinate .. i might know the answer ..

Currently now is 4:40 AM .. En Sanusi last minute inform me that I have to present my projek diploma / fyp to our beloved dean or bapak which is Prof Shahrin Sahib . And I still didnt fix the bug that I found during my presentation with Dr Faaizah .. ( it was 2 weeks ago .. but i had a fever or suspected h1n1 for a week)

So .. I’m buzzing via ym to my BITS senior (he graduate last year ) .. asking about searching using left join coz im joining 3 tables with quite a lot of columns .. 

And I finally found the answer … and say thanks to him because replying my YM early in the morning 

After 30 minutes  I ask him this ..

 

 

 

Therefore .. my conclusion is .. if you hate procrastination .. doing your work last minute .. dont study at UTeM .. seriously .. i MEAN it .. 😛

Why I become a freelancer ?

Heck do I even know how to become a good freelancer ?

It started out when Im doing system / web apps for someone FYP after I finish my SPM .. I feel enjoy doing it because that is the only income for me .. My dad used to say ” If you want anything .. you have to earn it by yourself “.

What about now ? 

I still enjoy until today .. meeting new people .. messing around with the codes .. learning new technology .. but frankly I still find it too much hassle .. Because the pay is not worth the effort that I give to complete the project . And until now I do have some problem charging for my services ..  Because I need MONEY and I have to accept their offer even sometimes their demands is ridiculous ..

Sometimes I need to do the same old thing .. the same boring login system .. with CRUD .. bla bla bla .. using Dreamweaver built in codes .. Since I already know php framework .. it’s like torturing yourself using the tools and technology that you hate .. 

Either way .. this is the only thing that I could do .. I need to do it .. to pay my bills .. feed myself .. service my motorcycle and leave me with enough money to go to MAMAK and lepak with my friends .. 

In the end .. I didn’t save any of my freelance project .. BUT … the wisdom and knowledge that I gain being a freelancer is priceless .. 

// No more RM500 per system .. I should charge more !

// No more crazy deadline ..

//No more projects until I finish my Infosys training (except the one that I promise before my training)

// There is 95% chances that Im gonna start working and being a corporate coder after my training .. Farewell UTeM ..

Tak lama lagi tamatlah sem terakhir aku . Paper terakhir aku adalah pada hari khamis – 23 April 2009 iaitu paper implementing and admin network services ..  Walaubagaimanapun aku akan sentiasa sibuk dengan kerja – kerja yang menanti ku .

Laporan projek diploma untuk versi terakhir masih belum di buat . Banyak kesalahan yang aku buat semasa menghantar draft report kepada Dr Faaizah . Dan ada sedikit terkantoi sebab aku copy rujuk dari laporan Wan Fajrina . 

Sistem aku walaupun dah siap tapi aku percaya masih belom production ready . Masih terdapat flaws yang bagi aku perlu diperbetulkan sebab ramai pengguna akan menggunakan sistem tersebut. Does it mean i have to maintain it for free for UTeM and provide a long time support ? I wish they will pay me .. so that I dont need to worry about my financial problem …

Saat – saat terakhir .. aku mendapat tawaran lagi membuat sistem . Sebenarnya aku nak tolak tawaran tersebut tapi x sampai hati .. Sistem apa ? Biarlah rahsia .. cuma aku perlu mengingatkan bahawa sistem tuh x macam sistem sebab bagi aku terlalu ringkas .

Minggu lepas terdapat gap 4 hari sebelum paper flash (which is yesterday) .. aku escape diriku dengan berfoya – foya ke Sunway Pyramid . Sambil tu aku berpeluang bermain Ice skating bersama dengan seseorang . Rasa sungguh hepi ketika itu .. Dah lama tak spend my quality time bersocial sebab mostly aku akan berkhayal dengan coding ku . 

Aku rasa aku perlukan lagi aktiviti – aktiviti yang sebegini rupa .. To me ia masih dapat membuatkan tahap stress aku dalam keadaan terkawal .. kerana minggu sebelum – sebelum ini bagaikan neraka kerana terjebak dengan Java dan JSF . 

Kepada ecah dan syam aeropama .. terima kasih kerana melayaniku dengan baik beberapa hari yang lepas …. stress aku menjadi berkurangan dengan gelak getawa dan gurau2x kasar .

Kepada si dia .. thanks sebab membuatkan saya happy … seperti dunia ini ana yang punya .

p/s : aku baru sahaja tanda tangan surat Program Foundation Infosys pada 2 May ini .. itu bermakna satu lagi neraka dunia buat ku .. tiada internet semasa waktu kelas .. dan tiada masa untuk aku bersama yang tersayang .. dan tiada masa untuk aku tidur lama2x kerana hari – hari ada exam .. 🙂

Actually aku baru habis mendengar ceramah dari Irfan Khairi . X sangka plak dia datang ke UTeM memberi ceramah motivasi dan cara untuk membuat duit di internet .

Banyak input yang aku dapat dari dia especially masa first talk . Pasal talk dia untuk buat duit .. aku agak bosan .. sebab aku dah lama start menjadi freelancer walaupun kecil – kecilan .

Abang topo kiter sempat bertanya 3 soalan semasa Q/A question . Kuat capap tul .. huhu
